Hi there!

I’m Lois, the general manager of Katie’s Kitty. The company was founded in 1997 by my twin brother, Peter Lindenbaum, who lovingly named it after his daughter.

In 2021, when Peter became seriously ill, he asked me to help him with the business. Sadly, he passed away not long after, and I came out of retirement to carry on his legacy and run the company he cared so deeply about.

Before stepping into this role, I spent 40 years as a journalist specializing in entertainment television. Transitioning from broadcasting to managing a cat sitting and boarding service was quite the leap—but a rewarding one!

When I’m not matching pet parents with sitters, you can find me on the pickleball court or hanging out with Lenny, our spirited 11-year-old pup. Lenny proudly holds the title of junior employee at Katie’s Kitty—he’s always ready to offer his (very vocal) opinions during our Zoom training sessions!

Katie’s Kitty remains a small, family-run business, and it’s my honor to continue its mission in Peter’s memory.
