Hi!

I'm Jenny. I am the co-manager for Katie's Kitty's sitters in Manhattan, Queens, The Bronx, and Jersey City.

I started sitting for Katie's Kitty in 2005 and reluctantly left in 2021 because we moved to Asbury Park, NJ after a lifetime in Manhattan. I loved my human and feline clients so much - it was difficult to leave them! In 2023 I began working on the administrative side of Katie’s Kitty – it has been great to be back.

Animal welfare has been my life’s work since I interned at a sanctuary for rescued farmed animals in my early twenties. Since then I've worked full-time for animal welfare organizations including: public information for the ASPCA, media relations for a disaster response organization post-Hurricane Katrina; co-directed an assistance program for pet owners in need for the Humane Society of the U.S. and managed the volunteers/interns at the Wild Bird Fund, a wildlife rehab center in NYC. (I love pigeons!)

To complement working in the non-profit field for so many years I have bartended at the same UWS bar for 18 years where I have met a wonderful family of people (and animal lovers!).

My patient husband and I foster newborn kittens for an amazing NYC rescue group, Anjellicle Cats. We are proud parents to a nervous senior Chihuahua (my best friend, Oliver), a multitude of cats and a rescue turtle named Madison. (And a bunch of foster kittens at any given time!)
