Katie's Kitty is the perfect alternative to caged boarding. Since we are not a boarding house or a kennel, we are able to utilize our network of private pet sitter homes across Manhattan and Brooklyn to match your pet with the perfect host home.

We offer a one-on-one and personalized haven for your pet while you are away. You can choose to have one of our loving sitters welcome your pet into their home or, for the more rooted animal, we can take care of them in your home.

With a roster of recent pets named Uncle Chichi, Chloe and Willy, we know your pet is part of the family. Our goal is to lovingly treat your furry family member the same way you do. Our pet sitters are accepted into our network only after they have shown the same desire.

The best part is that your pet hangs out on the couch with us while we watch TV, sleeps on our beds, and is underfoot as we are cooking dinner. We walk your dog 3-4 times a day, according to their schedule. We keep litter boxes and wee-wee pads clean. We feed according to any and all special dietary instructions.

A brief overview of the services we offer:

Dog Boarding / Cat Boarding

Simply Put: Your cat or dog is pampered in one of our pet sitter homes while you are away.

We take care of your pet in the same ways you do at your home.
We never double up without the consent of the client, so unless you give us permission your pet will be the only guest in the home.
We never board a cat in a home with a cat, unless specifically requested.
All of our sitter homes are pet safe, complete with screens on all windows.
All of our dog boarders work from home, assuring round the clock supervision and attention.
Complimentary play dates included on all boarding requests!

Cat Sitting visits:

Simply Put: Your cat is looked in on at your home for 30 minutes every day.

This includes a full half an hour of our sitter�s undivided attention on your cat.
Every visit the litter box will be scooped clean, water bowls will be cleaned and refilled, food dishes filled up, and tons of love and affection will be heaped on your kitty!
We follow any special instructions and wishes.
Complimentary meet and greet included on all sitting requests!

Dog Walking:

We walk only one client's dog at a time!
100%-personalized attention!
We will happily feed your dog before or after each walk.
Complimentary meet and greet on all walking requests!

Sleepovers:

Simply Put: Our pet sitter takes up residence in your home with your pet during your absence.

For those pets that are more comfortable staying at home while their owners are away, we send one of our loving sitters over to keep your pet company in their domain until you return home.

All of our pet sitters are insured and bonded and we carefully pre-screen every pet sitter before they are invited to join our network of host family homes. Done properly, pet sitting requires the utmost in care giving, ethics, attention to detail, diligence and responsibility. The roster of persons who work for us is eclectic and includes professionals who do it as much for the love of animals as for any other reason. Among the ranks of our dedicated staff are nurses, journalists, teachers, social workers, stay-at-home moms, veterinary technicians, administrative assistants and graduate students.

Hi, my name is Peter Lindenbaum and my daughter is Katie. We have lived on the upper east side since 1976 and have taken care of our own animals for over 20 years. I know how much I love my pets, so I understand how much yours mean to you. If you entrust me with the responsibility of caring for your cat or dog, I will offer him or her the same careful attention I would give my own. Katie's Kitty is dedicated to providing your cherished companions with the personal attention and love they deserve. During your absence from home, we will closely adhere to your pet's normal routine in order to make your time apart less stressful.
