Interviews Are Now Being Set Up

If you have impeccable regard for the welfare of animals and live in Manhattan or Brooklyn, you may be eligible to join our network of host family homes. Katie's Kitty has been matching pet owners with pet sitters since 1997 and would love to talk with you about joining the ranks of our dedicated, professional sitters and boarders.

Successful candidates should meet the following qualifications:

1. Live in either Manhattan or Brooklyn.
2. Not travel often.
3. Live in a pet friendly building and be the leaseholder or owner.
4. Have a clean, attractive and well-kept apartment.
5. Have a computer and land line / cell phone.
6. Be able to provide business references.
7. Have had a dog or cat of your own during your childhood and/or adult life.
8. Most importantly, must TRULY love animals!

Please not: if you are only interested in visiting a pet in the pet's home, you do not need to fulfill all of the above requirements.

Families, couples and singles are all welcomed to apply. We especially welcome mature, established adults who have been in the workforce for five years or longer. Persons who have experience with animals (personally or professionally) are particularly encouraged to apply. This is a part-time job offering. This should not be your primary source of income.

Pet sitting is fun and rewarding, but it is also hard work. Done properly, it requires the utmost in care giving, ethics, attention to detail, diligence and responsibility. We have some of the finest pet sitters in Manhattan working for us. We hope you will be able to join us. Due to time limitations, we can only contact persons that we are interested in interviewing so, please, no phone calls or resumes yet.
